The Garden - Easter Performance: April 7 & 8, 2012

The Garden, written by Michael McLean and Bryce Neubert, is an allegorical oratorio of Gethsemane. According to Deseret Book, "The Garden is a musical tribute to Jesus Christ that focuses on his great love and the far-reaching consequences of this atoning sacrifice... a stirring reminder of what took place in Gethsemane and of the debt of gratitude all creation owes to the Redeemer of the World."

This unique musical production will be performed at the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors' Center this coming Easter weekend April 7th & 8th, by multi-talented Young Single Adults from the DC area, and will be under the direction of composer and singer-songwriter Perla Antoniak.

All YSA's (and mid-singles) in the area are welcome to participate. This is a great opportunity for those who love to sing to share your testimony of the Savior through music. The production is 70 minutes long with a cast made up of a choir, 8 soloists, and a narrator. All levels of experience are welcome. There is no need to audition to sing in the choir, just show up to practice. If you would like a solo part, please come audition.

  1. do you know if any further productions of The Garden will be done. I just moved to Tennessee (from NM) and would love to see this live.

  2. Thank you so much for reaching out. Currently there are no plans for a production of The Garden at the DC Temple Visitors' Center. There has been, however, some buzz about the community wanting another performance in the near future. If anything comes to fruition we will publicize it here and through the Visitors' Center. Also, often times smaller groups perform the music in the spring around Easter if you keep an eye out for those. Thank you for the shout out and we will add you to the list of inquiring supporters!
